Online Bookbug sessions are available to watch via  www.facebook.com/Aberdeen.City.Libraries. Upcoming sessions, released on Saturdays  in October and November, will be a little different to usual as we have some celebrations coming up:

Saturday 31 October – Halloween – our session released at 10am will feature some spooky songs and rhymes and a  (mildly) scary story! This could be a great alternative for families missing the more traditional ways of celebrating Halloween due to social distancing restrictions.

Saturday 7, 14 and 21 November – these three 10am Saturday sessions will celebrate the upcoming Picture Book Prize, an author prize voted for by children in Scotland. As voting in libraries is not possible at the moment, we are promoting online voting and these sessions will encourage children to read all three titles and vote for their favourite. The sessions will feature craft/learning activities based on the stories for children to try at home, as well as songs and rhymes linked to the three books. There will also be a competition children can enter to win a book prize by sending photos of their arts and crafts to Bookbug@aberdeencity.gov.uk.

All the sessions can be viewed at any time, up to two months after their original release date, so that no one need worry about missing the 10am release time.
