Dear Parents/ Carers,
Our school and nursery very much value the support provided by the parent community. The Loirston Parent Council plays a key role in fostering strong communication between the parent community and the school and in representing your voice in discussions about planning improvements in provision.
The Parent Council AGM will be held next Tuesday, 4th September in the Community Lounge within the school starting at 6.15pm.
At the AGM we shall elect a new Parent Council for session 2018/19. The office bearers required to constitute a Parent Council are Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Secretary.
The first Parent Council meeting of the new session will follow on from the election of the new Parent Council.
One of the items on the agenda for the meeting will be to gauge interest from parents and carers in forming a separate fundraising group for the school. This group would be a sub-group of the Parent Council.
Therefore, it would be much appreciated if prior to the AGM parents and carers could give consideration to coming forward at the meeting for either membership of the Parent Council or of the fundraising group.
