Home Learning

Please see the updated ‘Home Learning’ section of the school website which has drop down menus for further information on specific aspects of home learning.

We look forward to seeing progress with the skills grids, progress with the reading challenge and completed numeracy grids in December.

If anyone has not yet registered for their child’s Interactive Learning Diary (ILD) account please contact the school by phone or email and we will send home your child’s unique code.  More than one parent can link with each child’s account.  You can post pictures of your child completing some of their home learning activities as well as other achievements on their ILD for their class teacher to see.

More information will follow shortly about each pupil’s Reading Cloud account which links to our school library.

Out of School Care in Scotland – Draft Framework

A national consultation on the draft framework for Out of School Care in Scotland was launched by the Scottish Government on Friday and will run until the 6th December 2019. https://consult.gov.scot/children-and-families/out-of-school-care

We would appreciate if you would please circulate this draft framework consultation to parents and families within your school community. https://twitter.com/ScotGovEdu/status/1167365099306328070 The Government is in the process of arranging a number of face to face consultation events to complement the online consultation working again with children, with parents and carers and with the out of school care sector. If events are planned for Aberdeen, details of these will be shared in due course.

We CARE Charter & Commitments

Aberdeen city council is keen to hear your views on a new charter around good customer service. Please share with parents to consider attending.

We CARE Charter & Commitments

We would like to invite you to engage with us on our new, We CARE Charter & Commitments, which should outline to our customers what good customer service should look like when they engage with our services.

We would like to take some initial feedback, but most importantly have your help in understanding how well we are delivering against these commitments now.

We have two focus group events taking place with dates and times outlined below:

  • 9 September 2019           Marischal College             16:30 – 18:00     (Please advise if it is your intention to attend)
  • 13 September 2019         Marischal College             09:00 – 10:30     (Please advise if it is your intention to attend)

However, if you would like to contribute but are unable to attend you can also click on the link below which will allow you to provide your feedback.  Paper copies of this survey can be provided if requested.

Loose Parts Donations

For our Outdoor Learning Activities, we would appreciate donations of tree stumps, nets, ropes, nuts and bolts, small cable wheels, pipes or guttering. Also if parents have old outdoor clothes or wellies that they would like to donate so that we can start a clothes store for each unit. If you want to ask or discuss anything about this, Mrs Message has kindly offered to help you. You can contact her at rmessage@aberdeencity.gov.uk
